Philips CorePro LEDcapsule LV

Philips CorePro LEDcapsule LV

The Philips CorePro LEDcapsule LV is a compact LED capsule for low-voltage fixtures and offers an energy-efficient alternative to traditional halogen capsules. Thanks to its compact size, this LED lamp is particularly well-suited for fixtures where space is limited.

The CorePro LED Capsule LV series is available with G4 and GY6.35 lamp bases, among others, and can be used for both functional and decorative lighting. Philips developed this series to facilitate the replacement of existing halogen capsules in locations such as hotels, restaurants, stores, and homes.

LED Replacement for Halogen Bulbs

The Philips CorePro LED Capsule LV is designed as a retrofit solution for existing low-voltage fixtures. This allows a conventional halogen capsule to be replaced in many situations without having to replace the entire fixture.

When replacing a light bulb, it is important to consider not only the base type, but also the voltage, dimensions, light output, dimmability, and compatibility with the existing transformer.

G4 and GY6.35 models

The CorePro LEDcapsule LV family includes various models with G4 and GY6.35 lamp bases. Depending on the model, different power ratings, light outputs, and color temperatures are available.

• Available with G4 and GY6.35 lamp bases
• Models available in 2700 K and 3000 K, among others
• Warm white light for comfortable and decorative applications
• Light output depends on the selected model
• CRI 80 for natural color rendering
• Rated service life of up to 15,000 hours
• Dimmable and non-dimmable versions available
• Compact size for small fixtures

Compatibility with Existing Transformers

Because the Philips CorePro LEDcapsule LV was developed for low-voltage fixtures, the existing transformer remains an important consideration. Not every combination of LED lamp, electronic transformer, and dimmer works the same way.

Therefore, when replacing a light, check whether the selected CorePro LED capsule is compatible with the existing transformer and any dimmer. Philips publishes compatibility information for low-voltage LED lamps for this purpose.

Suitable for functional and decorative lighting

Thanks to its compact size, the CorePro LEDcapsule LV can be used in a wide variety of small fixtures. Examples include lighting in display cases, cabinets, reception areas, hallways, and other locations where compact low-voltage lighting is used.

This makes the series suitable for use in hotels, restaurants, cafes, stores, and homes, among other places.

Energy-efficient Philips LED capsule

Switching from a traditional halogen capsule to LED can significantly reduce energy consumption. Philips states that the CorePro LED Capsule LV series offers energy savings of up to 88% compared to comparable halogen lamps.

The longer service life also reduces the number of lamp replacements, which in turn helps keep maintenance costs down.
