Philips CorePro LED PLC 2P – an energy-efficient replacement for PL-C fluorescent lamps

The Philips CorePro LED PLC 2P It was developed as a simple and energy-efficient LED upgrade for traditional 2-pin PL-C fluorescent lamps. Thanks to the familiar G24d form factor, existing lighting can be modernized relatively easily without having to replace the entire fixture right away.

This series is suitable for use with conventional electromagnetic (EM) ballasts and for connection to mains voltage, depending on the installation. This makes the CorePro LED PLC 2P a practical retrofit solution for offices, retail stores, hospitality venues, residential buildings, and commercial buildings, among others.

G24d-1, G24d-2, and G24d-3

The current series includes various G24d lamp bases for replacing commonly used PL-C fluorescent lamps:

• G24d-1: Replacement for 13 W PL-C
• G24d-2: Replacement for 18 W PL-C
• G24d-3: Replacement for 26 W PL-C

This makes it possible to select a suitable LED replacement for various existing PL-C fixtures.

Power ratings from 5.9 W to 8.9 W

The standard models replace traditional PL-C lamps with significantly lower power consumption. Depending on the model, power consumption ranges from 5.9 W to 8.9 W.

• 5.9 W: Replaces 13 W PL-C, up to 660 lumens
• 6.9 W: Replaces 18 W PL-C, up to 770 lumens
• 8.9 W: Replaces 26 W PL-C, up to 1,100 lumens

New 3CCT Models

In addition to models with a fixed color temperature, the current CorePro LED PLC 2P series also includes 3CCT models available. This allows you to set the desired color temperature to 3000 K, 4000 K, or 6500 K.

• 3000 K: warm white
• 4,000 K: neutral white
• 6500 K: cool daylight white

The 3CCT models offer additional flexibility because a single lamp can be used for multiple applications and desired light colors.

High Efficiency

The modern CorePro LED PLC 2P models offer significantly lower energy consumption than conventional fluorescent lamps. The latest 3CCT models achieve a luminous efficacy of up to approximately 144 lumens per watt.

This makes it possible to improve the energy efficiency of existing PL-C systems without having to replace all the fixtures at once.

30,000 hours of service life

The Philips CorePro LED PLC 2P has a rated service life of 30,000 hours and is rated for up to 50,000 switching cycles. Its longer service life reduces the number of lamp replacements and, consequently, maintenance costs compared to conventional fluorescent lamps.

CRI 82 for general lighting

The current series has a color rendering index of CRI 82. As a result, the lamp provides reliable color rendering for general professional lighting in offices, stores, hallways, and other functional spaces, among others.

Simple retrofit to LED

The traditional PL-C form factor makes the CorePro LED PLC 2P particularly well-suited for retrofit projects. In many situations, the existing luminaire housing can be retained, allowing for a faster and more cost-effective transition to LED.

Before installation, always check whether the existing fixture, ballast, and wiring diagram are compatible with the selected LED model.

Mercury-free LED technology

Unlike traditional fluorescent lamps, the CorePro LED PLC 2P contains no mercury. As a result, in addition to energy savings, this series offers a more modern and environmentally friendly light source for existing PL-C installations.
