The Philips Fortimo SLM Gen 8 – PremiumAmbiance is a high-quality, point-shaped COB LED module designed for professional accent lighting. Signify developed PremiumAmbiance specifically for commercial spaces where ambiance, the perception of materials, and presentation are key. As a result, warm colors, wood, textiles, and dark interior accents are shown to their best advantage.
In addition, PremiumAmbiance is based on the Fortimo SLM G8 and G8N High Efficiency platform. As a result, the series combines high-quality light with a flexible and efficient module design.
Special PremiumAmbiance Lighting Recipe
PremiumAmbiance uses a specially developed light spectrum for warm, high-quality interiors. This gives materials and products an attractive and natural look.
This technology is particularly effective in spaces with wooden furniture, dark ceilings, warm surfaces, and rich textures. It creates greater depth and atmosphere without overshadowing the presentation of the products.
2700K and 3000K
The current Fortimo SLM PremiumAmbiance family is available in two warm color temperatures. This allows the light to be precisely tailored to the interior design concept.
- 2700K – extra warm white light
- 3000K – warm white light
As a result, the series is well-suited for commercial environments where comfort and high-quality presentation are important.
CRI 80 and CRI 90
Signify offers both CRI 80 if CRI 90 PremiumAmbiance models. This allows you to choose the desired balance between efficiency and color reproduction.
The CRI 90 modules offer exceptionally good color rendering. In contrast, the CRI 80 versions offer higher efficiency. This allows the module to be tailored to the project’s requirements.
High Efficiency
Despite their unique spectral composition, efficiency remains high. For example, current CRI 80 models achieve values of up to approximately 169 lm/W.
Depending on size and power, the CRI 90 models achieve approximately 146 to 159 lm/W. As a result, PremiumAmbiance combines high-quality light with an efficient, professional LED platform.
G8 and G8N footprints
The series includes both G8 if G8N footprints. This allows luminaire manufacturers to combine the module with various compatible housings, optics, and cooling solutions.
In addition, the standardized Fortimo platform makes it easier to implement multiple lighting recipes within the same luminaire family.
Different LES Formats
PremiumAmbiance is available in various Light Emitting Surface sizes. This allows the light source to be tailored to the desired beam angle and light output.
For example, a smaller LES is useful for precise spot beams. A larger LES, on the other hand, offers more capacity for higher light outputs.
Wide range of light outputs
The current product family consists of 27 models. As a result, various power and lumen classes are available.
For example, current 19 × 19 mm models deliver approximately 2,400 to over 4,000 lumens. Larger 28 × 28 mm G8 models even reach more than 6,700 lumens. This allows PremiumAmbiance to be used in both compact accent fixtures and powerful professional spotlights.
Over 50,000 hours of service life
Signify specifies a service life of more than 50,000 hours. In addition, a five-year system warranty applies to a suitable system.
