Philips CorePro LEDspot LV
The Philips CorePro LEDspot LV is an affordable low-voltage LED spotlight designed to replace conventional MR11 and MR16 halogen bulbs. The series operates at 12V and is available with GU4 and GU5.3 bases. This makes it easy to retrofit many existing low-voltage fixtures with energy-efficient LED technology.
In addition, the CorePro series provides focused light with a beam angle of 36°. This makes the lamp suitable for professional accent lighting and general spot lighting.
MR11 and MR16
The current product family consists of two lamp shapes. This makes it possible to select the right version for various existing fixtures.
- MR11 – compact design with a GU4 base
- MR16 – standard version with GU5.3 base
The MR16 models make up the majority of the current CorePro LV series.
184 to 660 lumens
The current series offers several luminous flux classes. This allows the light level to be matched to that of the existing halogen lamp.

As a result, both compact 20W equivalents and more powerful 50W equivalents are available.
2700K, 3000K, and 4000K
Philips offers the CorePro LEDspot LV in a variety of color temperatures. This allows the light color to be tailored to the professional environment.
- 2700K – warm white
- 3000K – warm white
- 4000K – neutral white
Not every luminous flux is available in every color temperature. Therefore, the desired combination must be selected for each model.
CRI 80
The current CorePro LV models have a color rendering of CRI 80. This makes them suitable for general professional spot lighting.
When higher color rendering is required, the Philips MASTER LEDspot ExpertColor LV is a better choice.
36° beam angle
The current models use a beam angle of 36 degrees. This creates a focused but relatively wide beam.
This allows products, objects, and specific areas to be effectively highlighted.
12V low voltage
The Philips CorePro LEDspot LV operates on 12V low voltage. The MR16 models use a GU5.3 base, while the MR11 model has a GU4 base.
Always check whether the existing transformer is suitable for LED lighting. Signify states that the product family is compatible with a wide range of transformers.
Not dimmable
The current Dutch CorePro LV models are not dimmable. As a result, these spotlights are intended for standard on/off installations.
If dimming is required, a suitable MASTER or ExpertColor model must therefore be selected.
15,000 to 25,000 hours of service life
Most current MR16 models have a rated service life of 15,000 hours. The current MR11 GU4 version, on the other hand, has a rated service life of 25,000 hours.
Therefore, the shelf life must be specified for each SKU and should not be imported as a single fixed family attribute.
