Philips MASTER LED Spotlight ExpertColor LV
The Philips MASTER LED Spotlight ExpertColor LV is a high-quality, low-voltage LED spotlight designed for professional accent lighting. The series was developed as a retrofit replacement for MR16 halogen lamps with a GU5.3 base and combines high color quality with smooth, seamless dimming.
In addition, ExpertColor uses a specially tuned light spectrum that closely resembles the color rendering of halogen lighting. This allows materials, products, and interiors to be shown in their best light, looking natural and attractive.
MR16 with GU5.3 base
All current models feature the well-known MR16 lamp shape with a GU5.3 lamp base. As a result, many existing low-voltage halogen systems can easily be retrofitted with LED technology.
The lights run on 12V electronic low voltage. Therefore, always check whether the existing transformer is compatible with the selected LED spotlight.
6.7W and 7.5W versions
The current Dutch family consists of two power classes. This allows users to choose between maximum color rendering or higher light output.
- 6.7 W – 410 to 460 lumens, CRI 97
- 7.5 W – 485 to 520 lumens, CRI 92
For this reason, it is important not to store CRI as a single fixed family attribute in WooCommerce.
ExpertColor with very high color rendering
The 6.7W models offer a color rendering index of CRI 97. As a result, colors, materials, and textures are reproduced with exceptional realism.
In addition, Signify specifies a high R9 value for ExpertColor. This ensures that even saturated red colors are rendered convincingly.
2700K, 3000K, and 4000K
The series is available in three color temperatures. This allows the light color to be precisely tailored to the application.
- 2700K – extra warm white
- 3000K – warm white
- 4000K – neutral white
This makes the series suitable for both atmospheric hospitality settings and high-end retail lighting.
Four different bundle angles
The current ExpertColor LV family offers a variety of beam angles. This allows the light to be directed very precisely or, conversely, distributed more widely.
- 10° – a very narrow range of accents
- 24° – narrow beam
- 36° – wide beam
- 60° – extra-wide light distribution
Not every beam angle is available in every power class and color temperature.
Deep and smooth dimming
The current MASTER ExpertColor LV models are dimmable with specific compatible dimmers. This allows the brightness to be precisely adjusted to create the desired atmosphere.
In addition, the series has been designed for broad compatibility with existing low-voltage transformers. However, the combination of transformer and dimmer must be checked in advance.
40,000-hour service life
Signify specifies a nominal service life of 40,000 hours. In addition, the lamps are designed for approximately 50,000 switching cycles.
As a result, the MASTER ExpertColor LV is suitable for professional installations with high operating hours.
5-year warranty
The current variants have a 5-year warranty period. This clearly sets the MASTER series apart from the simpler CorePro retrofit lamps.
