Philips CorePro LEDtube Universal T8
The Philips CorePro LEDtube Universal T8 makes it easier to replace traditional T8 fluorescent tubes. Thanks to Universal technology, the same LED tube can be used with compatible electromagnetic ballasts, electronic high-frequency ballasts, and direct line voltage.
As a result, it is not always necessary to keep a separate type of LED tube in stock for various existing installations. In addition, CorePro combines easy retrofitting with low energy consumption and a long service life.
Universal for EM, HF, and AC power
The main advantage of this CorePro LEDtube is its broad compatibility. The tube is designed for use with various existing power supply methods.

The current product family is available in the three standard T8 lengths. This makes it possible to replace traditional TL-D tubes in various power classes.
- 600 mm – LED alternative to 18W TL-D
- 1,200 mm – LED alternative to 36W TL-D
- 1,500 mm – LED alternative to a 58W TL-D
All current models use a G13 lamp base.
From 850 to 3,500 lumens
The current series offers a variety of light outputs. This allows the light output to be adjusted to match the existing lighting level.
The standard models range from 850 lumens at 600 mm up to 2,700 lumens at 1,500 mm. In addition, Signify offers a powerful 1,500 mm UO version of 3,500 lumens.
8W, 18W, and 23W
The current CorePro Universal series offers three main power ratings. This keeps the product structure straightforward.
- 8W – 600 mm
- 18W – 1,200 mm
- 23W – 1,500 mm
The 23W Ultra Output version also delivers 3,500 lumens and achieves approximately 152 lm/W.
3000K, 4000K, and 6500K
The series is available in various color temperatures. This allows the light color to be tailored to the professional environment.
- 3000K – warm white
- 4000K – neutral white
- 6500K – cool daylight white
Not every luminous flux class is available in every color temperature. Therefore, the exact combination specified for each Signify SKU must be followed.
CRI 80 and wide light distribution
All current CorePro LEDtube Universal T8 models have a color rendering index of CRI 80. This makes them suitable for general professional lighting.
In addition, the tested models have a wide light distribution of approximately 240 degrees. This results in uniform lighting from existing T8 fixtures.
50,000-hour service life
Signify specifies a nominal service life of 50,000 hours. The specified number of switching cycles is also 50,000.
As a result, maintenance and replacement costs are lower than those of conventional fluorescent tubes.
Not dimmable
The current CorePro LEDtube Universal T8 products are not dimmable. Therefore, dimmability does not need to be offered as a customer option in WooCommerce.
However, when using high-frequency (HF) power supplies, you must always verify that the existing ballast is compatible with the selected LED tube.
Glass T8 tube with a G13 lamp base
The current models have a glass T8 structure with a G13 base. In addition, the tested models have an IP20 rating and are intended for use in suitable fixtures.
3-year warranty
The current Signify product data lists a 3-year warranty period. As a result, the current 2-year warranty on LED Goeroe must be adjusted.
