Philips MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8

The Philips MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 is designed for the energy-efficient retrofit of existing T8 fluorescent lighting. The major advantage of this Universal LED tube is its broad compatibility: the same product family can be used in fixtures with an electromagnetic ballast (EM), a compatible electronic high-frequency ballast, or directly connected to line voltage.

This makes the MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 particularly well-suited for renovation projects involving various types of existing fluorescent fixtures. It significantly reduces the need to select different types of LED tubes in advance for EM, HF, and mains-voltage installations.

Universal LED Tube for EM, HF, and Mains Voltage

In this series, Philips combines Universal and InstantFit technology. This ensures high compatibility with existing ballasts and enables a quick transition from conventional fluorescent lighting to LED.

When using this product with an existing high-frequency ballast, always verify that the ballast in question is listed on the current Philips compatibility list. If connecting directly to the mains voltage, the installation must be modified in accordance with the installation instructions.

1,200 and 1,500 mm in three light colors

The Philips MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 is available in two lengths and three color temperatures. This allows you to choose the right model for a wide range of professional applications.

  • 1200 mm: 15.5 W as an energy-efficient alternative to 36 W TL-D
  • 1,500 mm: 23 W as an energy-efficient alternative to a 58 W TL-D
  • 3000 K (830): warm white light
  • 4,000 K (840): neutral white light
  • 6500 K (865): cool daylight white

Depending on the model, the luminous flux ranges from 2,300 to 3,700 lumens, and the luminous efficacy reaches approximately 161 lm/W.

Long service life and lower maintenance costs

With a rated lifespan of up to 60,000 hours, the MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 is designed for professional installations where reliability and low maintenance costs are important. Its lower energy consumption compared to conventional fluorescent tubes also helps reduce the operating costs of the lighting system.

The LED tubes feature a G13 base, a CRI of 80, and a wide beam angle. This makes the series suitable for replacing traditional T8 fluorescent tubes in many existing professional fixtures.

Suitable for professional applications

The Philips MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 can be used in offices, retail stores, educational institutions, warehouses, and industrial spaces, among other places. Its broad compatibility is a significant advantage, particularly for larger renovation projects, as it allows various existing T8 installations to be modernized using a single product family.

Which MASTER Value LED Tube Universal T8 do you need?

First, select the correct length for the existing fixture: 1200 mm for the traditional 36 W TL-D or 1500 mm for the traditional 58 W TL-D. Next, select the desired light color: 3000 K, 4000 K, or 6500 K.

Before installation, always check which ballast is in use, and for high-frequency (HF) systems, consult the latest compatibility information from Philips. This way, you can be sure that the LED tube you’ve chosen is compatible with the existing system.
