Philips TrueForce LED for Industrial and Retail Applications (High Bay – MH)
The Philips TrueForce LED for Industrial and Retail Applications (High Bay – MH) It was developed to provide an energy-efficient replacement for traditional HPI lamps in existing high-bay fixtures. This allows existing installations to be modernized without having to replace the entire fixture right away.
In addition, the series is compatible with existing electromagnetic ballast systems and can be connected to line voltage. This makes TrueForce a practical retrofit solution for industrial buildings and large retail spaces.
Replaces the HPI 250W and 400W
The current TrueForce Highbay series consists of two power classes. This allows the LED lamp to be matched to the existing HID system.
- 95W – Replaces the HPI 250W and delivers 13,000 lumens
- 140W – Replaces the HPI 400W and delivers 20,000 lumens
This significantly reduces power consumption while maintaining high light output.
E40 for a simple high-bay retrofit
All current models use a E40 lamp base. As a result, they are compatible with many existing professional high-bay fixtures that were originally equipped with HPI lamps.
Depending on the existing installation, the lamp can be used with a suitable electromagnetic ballast or directly connected to a 220–240V mains voltage. Always follow Signify’s installation instructions.
13,000 or 20,000 lumens
The 95W version delivers 13,000 lumens. For installations with higher lighting requirements, the 140W version provides 20,000 lumens.
As a result, the series is suitable for medium- and high-ceiling industrial spaces where powerful general lighting is required.
60° and 120° beam angles
Each power rating is available with two different light distributions. This allows the light to be adjusted to the mounting height and the layout of the room.
- NB – Narrow Beam, 60° – more focused light distribution
- WB – Wide Beam, 120° – wide light distribution
For example, a more focused beam can be selected for higher mounting heights, while the wide-angle version is suitable when a large area needs to be evenly illuminated.
4000K with a CRI of 80
All current models have a color temperature of 4000K and color code 840. This produces a neutral white light that is well-suited for professional work and production spaces.
The color gamut is CRI 80. This ensures that materials, products, and work areas are clearly visible.
Up to 115 lm/W
Efficiency varies depending on the light distribution. The wide-beam WB models achieve the highest efficiency.
- 95W NB – approximately 88 lm/W
- 95W WB – approximately 109 lm/W
- 140W NB – approximately 92 lm/W
- 140W WB – approximately 115 lm/W
This means that, in addition to power, the desired light distribution can also be taken into account when selecting the right model.
Not dimmable
The current TrueForce Highbay MH models are not dimmable. As a result, these lamps are intended for standard on/off installations.
The "Dimmable" attribute can therefore be set as a fixed value for this product family No be set.
50,000-hour service life
Signify specifies a rated service life of 50,000 hours. In addition, the lamps are designed for 50,000 on-off cycles.
As a result, maintenance and bulb replacement are significantly reduced compared to traditional HID lighting.
