The Philips MasterConnect LED Spotlight GU10 is a smart, professional LED spotlight that makes it easy to upgrade existing GU10 lighting to connected lighting. The light combines a familiar GU10 base with wireless control and smart lighting control.

MasterConnect was developed as a practical retrofit solution for retail stores, offices, hotels, cafes, and restaurants, among other settings. The lamp can directly replace existing GU10 mains-voltage halogen lamps and can then be configured and controlled via the MasterConnect system.

Smart GU10 LED Spotlight for Connected Lighting

The Philips MasterConnect LEDspot makes it possible to use smart lighting without having to replace the entire lighting system right away. The bulb connects to a 220–240 V power source and uses a standard GU10 base.

The MasterConnect solution enables features such as wireless dimming, zoning, lighting scenes, and automatic control based on occupancy and natural light.

4.7 W as a replacement for 50 W

The current Philips MasterConnect LEDspot GU10 uses only 4.7 W and is intended to replace a conventional 50-watt spotlight. The bulb produces a luminous flux of 345 lumens and has a luminous efficacy of approximately 73 lm/W.

This allows for a significant reduction in energy consumption while maintaining a focused, high-quality light beam.

CRI 90 for natural color rendering

With a color rendering index of CRI 90 The MasterConnect LEDspot reproduces colors faithfully. This makes the lamp particularly well-suited for professional applications where product presentation, interior colors, or ambiance are important.

Beam angle of 36 degrees

The Philips MasterConnect LEDspot GU10 has a beam angle of 36 degrees. This focused beam is suitable for both general accent lighting and for highlighting products, objects, and specific areas of a room.

The nominal luminous intensity is approximately 500 candelas, depending on the model selected.

2700 K, 3000 K, and 4000 K

The current MasterConnect LEDspot GU10 series is available in three color temperatures:

• 2700 K: Extra warm white light for ambient lighting applications
• 3000 K: Warm white light for restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and high-end spaces
• 4,000 K: neutral white light for functional and professional environments

Wireless Dimming and Automation

The MasterConnect LEDspot supports wireless dimming and can be integrated into a MasterConnect lighting system. Using the accompanying solution, fixtures can be grouped into zones, and various lighting scenarios can be configured.

When combined with appropriate sensors, lighting can automatically respond to occupancy and available natural light. This can improve both the comfort and the energy efficiency of the system.

Interact Ready

Philips MasterConnect LED bulbs are Interact Ready. This allows a MasterConnect installation to be expanded later to include the Philips Interact platform.

By adding a suitable gateway, features such as centralized dashboard management, remote control, and scheduling can be enabled. This allows a simple retrofit installation to evolve into a comprehensive connected lighting system.

25,000-hour service life

The Philips MasterConnect LEDspot GU10 has a rated lifespan of 25,000 hours and is designed for up to approximately 50,000 switching cycles.

Philips states that the current MasterConnect LEDspot GU10 series has a warranty period of 5 years.
