Philips EM155C / EM159C Exit Sign – Reliable Escape Route Signage
The Philips Output Board EM155C / EM159C has been developed to provide clear and reliable escape route and emergency exit signage in commercial buildings. The series combines energy-efficient LED technology with 3 hours of emergency operation and a long-lasting LiFePO4 battery.
Various models are available within the product family, including the slim EM155C output board and the EM159C output board. This allows the emergency lighting to be tailored to the desired mounting method and application.
3 hours of emergency operations
In the event of a power outage, the exit sign will continue to function for up to 3 hours. This ensures that escape routes and emergency exits remain clearly visible even during a power outage.
Viewing distance up to 30 meters
Philips exit signs are designed for a viewing distance of up to 30 meters. The clear pictogram display and high luminance ensure that the direction of escape remains easily recognizable even from a greater distance.
EM155C and EM159C
The family consists of several models. The EM155C has an exceptionally slim design and delivers 85 lumens at a power consumption of 4 watts. The EM159C It has a conventional lens shape and produces 23 lumens at 3 watts.

LiFePO4 battery technology
The integrated lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery offers a long service life, low self-discharge, and good temperature resistance. The battery can be recycled at the end of its service life, making it a more sustainable solution than traditional nickel-based battery technology.
Manual test or self-test
Depending on the model, the Philips Output Panel is available with either a manual test or an automatic self-test. This allows for periodic checks of the luminaire's operation and the emergency power supply.
Regulated and unregulated use
The series supports both self-maintained and non-self-maintained emergency lighting. This allows the exit sign to be tailored to the desired emergency lighting concept and the building's requirements.
Flexible installation
Depending on the model, the exit signs can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. In addition, accessories are available for recessed and suspended mounting, among other options, allowing the series to be used flexibly in various types of buildings.
