Signify CityCharm Cordoba was developed for urban areas where lighting must not only be functional but also contribute to ambiance, recognizability, and the quality of public spaces.
Thanks to its timeless design, the fixture can be combined with various poles, brackets, and decorative accessories. This allows the lighting to be tailored to the character of a residential neighborhood, boulevard, city center, or park.
CityCharm Cordoba BDS490
The Cordoba model in the CityCharm series has the product family code BDS490. The CityCharm family also includes CityCharm Cone and CityCharm Fluid.
The various designs share the same professional principles: comfortable lighting, efficient LED technology, and extensive options for public lighting projects.
GentleBeam and ClearGuide
Signify CityCharm supports a variety of technologies for comfortable and functional lighting in urban environments.
GentleBeam was developed to maximize visual comfort. ClearGuide, available for Cordoba and other models, also focuses on effective vertical lighting and visual orientation.
This not only helps illuminate the road or walkway, but also makes it easier to identify people, objects, and the surrounding public space.
2200 K, 2700 K, 3000 K, and 4000 K
The Signify CityCharm family offers a variety of color temperatures that allow the lighting to be tailored to the surroundings:
- 2200 K: Very warm light for atmospheric and environmentally conscious applications
- 2700 K: Warm white light for residential areas, parks, and historic settings
- 3000 K: Comfortable, warm white light for general urban lighting
- 4,000 K: neutral white light for more functional applications
DarkSky-specific configurations
For projects where minimizing light pollution and protecting the dark nighttime environment are important, Signify CityCharm offers warm configurations designed for DarkSky applications.
Signify lists 2200 K, 2700 K, and 3000 K, among others, in combination with suitable A-PCN and S1F-PCN optics.
ULR below 1 percent
CityCharm Cordoba is available in configurations with a Upward Light Ratio of less than 1%. As a result, only a very small portion of the light is emitted directly above the horizon.
This is of interest for urban projects in which light pollution and unnecessary upward light emission must be minimized as much as possible.
Efficiency up to 144 lm/W
Depending on the configuration selected, the current CityCharm family achieves a light output of up to approximately 144 lumens per watt.
This allows for sufficient lighting in public spaces to be combined with energy efficiency. The actual efficiency depends on factors such as luminous flux, color temperature, optics, and driver configuration.
Different luminous fluxes and light distributions
Philips CityCharm Cordoba is available with various lumen packages and optics. This allows the light pattern to be tailored to the width and function of the public space.
Symmetrical, asymmetrical, and medium-width light distributions, among others, are available for applications such as plazas, sidewalks and bike paths, residential streets, and other urban areas.
IP66 and IK10
Current Signify CityCharm Cordoba BDS490 models are available with a protection rating of IP66. This makes the fixture completely dustproof and protected against powerful water jets.
Philips' current predefined BDS490 configurations also feature an impact resistance of IK10, making them suitable for rugged use in public spaces.
Up to 100,000 hours of service life
Signify states that the current CityCharm family has a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours at L96 B10. This means that the series is designed for long-term professional use while maintaining a high level of its original light output.
Its long service life can significantly reduce the number of maintenance and replacement intervals over its useful life.
Smart Lighting Control
Depending on the chosen CityCharm Cordoba configuration, various control options are available. Signify offers versions that are compatible with advanced lighting control systems and connected public lighting.
This makes it possible, for example, to implement dimming profiles and centralized management, and to tailor public lighting more efficiently to the use of a given area.
Constant Light Output
Certain BDS490 models feature Constant Light Output. This allows for compensation for the natural decline in LED light output over the life of the fixture.
As a result, a light fixture does not need to operate at an unnecessarily high power level from day one in order to meet the required lighting level later on.
5-year standard warranty
Signify lists a for the current CityCharm family 5-year standard warranty. Depending on the terms and conditions, the warranty can be extended for up to 10 years.
